Tall Tales

Developing teambuilding skills doesn’t necessarily need to involve physical activity, after all, it’s brain power that is the real key to success! Try a calmer approach to teambuilding by playing Tall Tales…

What you need…

A facilitator (of course) and participants!

How to play Tall Tales…

1. With all the participants sat in a circle, the facilitator begins by telling a story ending in the word “suddenly”. The story could go something along these lines…”It was a warm summers day with not a cloud in the sky as Nath and Bret were loading their party equipment into the van when suddenly…”.
2. The facilitator picks a participant at random to continue by adding two lines to the existing story; participants are allowed to take the story in whichever direction they wish. A time limit should be implemented (we recommend 2 minutes) to keep the game within a reasonable timeframe.
3. The game continues until either a participant exceeds their time limit or becomes stuck!

What skills does Tall Tales utilise…

This game puts participants creative skills to the test by thinking on their feet as to how to continue an existing story.
